For homework I want to construct a blog post responding to the following points: In relation to our brief discussion of “catharsis” how does this relate to Gilgamesh’s realization of his own mortality?   What prompts Gilgamesh to confront his own mortality? Answer= In our brief discussion of catharsis in class it relates to Gilgamesh's realization of his own mortality by when Gilgamesh realized that he was in state of being subject to death he was scared that he would die and not finish his quest to prove his heroism to everyone. One thing that prompts Gilgamesh to confront his own mortality is that he believes that he can do this and achieve his goal to prove his heroism to everyone.
